What is Life Teen?
Life Teen is an international Catholic movement active in over 1300 parishes around the world. It aims to serve the Church and lead teens closer to Christ through vibrant Eucharistic celebrations & fostering opportunities for teens to grow in their faith.
Life Teen at St. Theresa’s
St. Theresa’s Life Teen is oriented towards High School youth in grades 9-12. We include gr. 9 students so that they have an opportunity to get to know high schoolers and build friendships, making the transition into high school a bit easier.
Life Teen takes place on 2nd, 3rd and 4th Fridays from 7:00 to 8:45 pm in the parish hall.
On 1st Fridays we will have XLT praise and worship in the main church from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. All families, youth & young adults are invited to XLT.
See our current Lifeteen Schedule for more information.
What to expect during Life Nights
We call Life Teen events “Life Nights.” Life Nights are usually action packed with some game, spiritual moment, activities, special guest speakers, discussion, videos and more. We conclude each night with a snack social, before cleaning up. .
Youth are encouraged to attend our special youth Mass in the main church at 6 pm on Sundays.
Headed up by our Core team, under the guidance of youth minister Santo Chines, Life Teen events are always new.
Whether we are playing crazy games, spiritual sharing, doing social justice projects, heading off to a retreat, or addressing a meaningful or controversial topic in the faith, there is a place for everyone at Life Teen.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact our youth minister, Santo Chines at 780-463-8646 ext. 2226.
